Cardoc Techshop: Launching a new product

Mobile App and Web Landing Site Design (iOS, Android & Responsive Web)
2016 - 2017 (service launched in Nov 2016)
# of users: 500
Service satisfaction: 98%

Cardoc Techshop provides a reasonable price for consumable supplies such as engine oil, tires, and batteries that are accurately compatible with imported cars. Customers can quickly schedule an appointment wherever they want, anywhere in the country.

Set Goals

Easy and quick reservation process

When making a reservation through the app, once the user inputs their vehicle plate number, the matched engine oil, air filter, and oil filter are displayed accurately. With this new matched data, users don’t have to select any product. They make appointments faster on preferred dates at preferred shops.

Iterative App Updates

From the beta test to the official launch

At first, Cardoc sold engine oil temporarily to see customers’ preferences as a beta test. We use the existing design system from Cardoc Wash, nothing fancier. After our team saw the possibility and potential, we updated the home screen design and concept when launching officially. We added sections for promotions and product lists later on.

Responsive webpage for promoting Cardoc Techshop

Over a year, our team tried various ways to improve the screen by adding an unread mark, a chevron icon, a divider, and a text button on each card. Also, promotions, distance, and avatars were added so that users can obtain more information from the shop before clicking.

New visual concepts

Fancy, unique, and bright

Unlike generic engine oil brands, our team aimed to make this service unique. I created a set of color schemes, designed engine oil packages, and photographed and applied to the Cardoc Techshop platform design.
